This years summer State of Play was probably the best one we have had in a while. Alot of new announcements and games were revealed. Lets go over some of them.

For the opening of State of Play, we kinda expected Wolverine to be one of the big ones seen in this. It was a very strong start with some awesome gameplay, however in my opinion it looks like it still might have some jank to it that needs polishing. Its also cool we get Pheonix (Jean Grey) and Mystiqe is a nice adition too. I’m not the biggest fan of Marvel stuff but if you are, this game could be the next Spiderman game. This game was also made by Insomniac games too.

I love fighting games, I’ve played Marvel vs Capcom, Street Fighter, Tekkan, injustice and Guilty Gear Strive. This game’s art style and animations look super good and so much fun, we even got some new character reveals being Magneto, Green Goblin and Carnage. However again im not super into Marvel, so personally I will most likely be giving this one a pass. But if you are into Marvel and fighting games….maybe even anime? This game may be for you.

This is a new game about surviving again dinosaurs in a horror aesthetic which sounds super cool. Imagine jurrassic park the horror game. The graphics and general feel of the horror really got my attention, I mean dinosaurs in ARK are already scary enough for me so this would be a massive step up and I love horror games. Check it out, its coming out 2027

A  complete remake of the very first tomb raider game that again look like alot of fun. It doesnt really follow the same story as the first Tomb Raider game but is very much based around the theme of the first game with even some of the same scenes. if you like puzzle action adventure games then this game is for you. I may give it ago myself too. Coming Febuary 12th

Being a huge God of War fan, this game look like it will be an amazing spin off of the other games. You play Kratos’s wife (Faye) after she dies at the begening of the first God of War where Kratos enters norse myhtology

Faye find herself in the world where gods go after they die. The amount of content and gods we could see here is super exciting. The combat and graphics of this game look super insane too, so much magic and different creatures. Looks like something straight out of a DND game.

Honestly I am a huge Square Enix, Capcom, Konami, Santa Monica Studio also. However i’m not really a huge Playstation games, I love this big ones like Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Yu-gi-oh, Resident Evil and similar games. You’ll notice there was a good amount I didnt talk about and that’s because i’m just not that interested in them. But do’nt get me wrong, this was a very strong State of Play and I am looking even more forward to this friday for Summer Games Fest
